A Buildings of national or international importance, either architectural or historic, or fine little-altered examples of some particular period, style or building type. Grade I B Buildings of regional or more than local importance, or major examples of some particular period, style or building type which may have been altered. Grade II* C Buildings of local importance, lesser examples of any period, style, or building type, as originally constructed or moderately altered; and simple traditional buildings which group well with others in categories A and B. Grade II Grade B1 & B2 The list is maintained by Historic Environment Scotland (formerly Historic Scotland) and all of the Listed Buildings, as well as many other interesting but non-listed buildings, can be found on their web site. The HES web site has a very useful interactive map which helps identify the location of Listed Buildings and which provides links to information about them.
