Scottish Conservatives leader Douglas Ross backs fight to keep IRH services intact

THE leader of the Scottish Conservatives has backed the fight to keep all of Inverclyde Royal Hospital's services intact and unveiled a policy commitment to hire over 40 new teachers locally.
With the Holyrood election less than two months away, the Tele put Douglas Ross on the spot about why his party has not even confirmed its local candidate yet.
The SNP, Labour and the LibDems candidates have already launched their campaigns, with the Tories still to name their choice.
Mr Ross says they will make an announcement 'very soon' and insists their representative will 'stand up for the interests of the people of Inverclyde'.
