Scottish election 2021: Douglas Ross says he got Boris Johnson to ditch two ‘damaging’ policies

Boris Johnson decided to drop two UK-wide policies after being told they would be “damaging” to Scotland, the Scottish Conservative leader has revealed.
Douglas Ross said he had personally advised the Prime Minister to ditch two far-reaching proposals since becoming leader of the party in Scotland last August.
In an interview with
i, he declined to give details of the scrapped policies but said part of his role was to ensure that plans that might harm Scotland “don’t see the light of day”.
