The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum at Stirling Castle THE Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum at Stirling Castle will re-open this week after a three-year refurbishment project costing millions of pounds. The museum tells the story of one of Scotland’s most famous regiments and has had a lengthy transformation that started in September 2018 with the aim to ensure its historic military legacy was preserved for future generations. It will officially re-open to the public on Wednesday. The museum stated: “Home to a wealth of military treasures and artefacts, the museum brings the rich culture and heritage of one of Scotland’s great Highland regiments to life. The museum weaves a rich tapestry, connecting the regiment to the local communities around Scotland from where its soldiers and their families came from.
