SD DOH: 187 total new COVID-19 cases, 24 deaths statewide January 28, 2021
PIERRE, S.D. — On Thursday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 134 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 96,327. 53 of the 187 total cases are considered as new probable cases. 24 South Dakota residents have died from coronavirus-related complications. The state death toll is now 1,763. 30 confirmed cases were reported West River: 12 in Pennington County, three each in Lawrence, Meade and Oglala Lakota Counties, two each in Corson, Dewey, Perkins and Tripp Counties and one in Todd County. 15 new probable cases were reported West River: four in Dewey County, three each in Pennington and Stanley Counties, two in Todd County and one each in Fall River, Gregory and Trip Counties.
