Council Chair Tim Ostrem says the Trinity Study showed a 45-percent reduction in cancer risk when used in trucks and an 86-percent reduced risk when used for home heating oil, plus fewer premature deaths and reduced asthma attacks. The study done at 13 sites in the U.S. with exposure to high rates of petroleum pollution, also shows 46,000 fewer sick days annually resulting from B100. This avoids $3 billion in health costs largely due to lower particulate matter emissions.
