What were they celebrating? Their constitutional right to bear arms. The event, 2A Day, featured music, vendors and speeches from current and prospective politicians about the U.S. Constitution, the Second Amendment and support for former President Donald Trump. "2A Day," which refers to the Second Amendment, was hosted by 2A Patriot, a Michigan-based organization dedicated to protecting citizens' Second Amendment rights. Livingston County residents formed the group just over a year ago, but membership has grown across the state. Dave Pike, a Hamburg Township resident and 2A Patriot member, said this was the first 2A Day, but the group hopes to make it a yearly tradition.
