The stretch of shingle beach is backed by a tarmac walkway with free car parking nearby. To the western end of the beach you will find a little harbour in the mouth of the River Meon and beyond is the Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve. It is a perfect spot for watching the world go by as boats drift past. Stokes Bay A shingle beach with panoramic views of the Solent and Isle of Wight. The mile long stretch of beach starts at Gilkicker Point in the east to MOD owned Browndown in the west. There is a large grassy area adjacent to the beach, with a place for barbecues. Locals praise the beach for being unspoilt, clean and away from the crowds.
