Section of I-70 to close for entire weekend in Colorado : vi

Drivers are advised to plan ahead for a weekend-long closure of a section Interstate 70 in Denver, Colorado. 
The closure will be in place on Interstate 70 between Brighton Boulevard and I-270 for a full weekend, beginning at 10:00 PM on Friday, December 18th and continuing through 5:00 AM, Monday, December 21st. Both directions of the interstate will be closed, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
As part of the Colorado Department of Transportation's Central 70 Project, the closure will allow for crews to demolish the remaining portion of the old Colorado Boulevard bridge over Interstate 70.
“While a full weekend closure might feel like a major inconvenience, it actually allows construction crews to complete work that could potentially take months of nightly lane closures in just one weekend,” said Project Director Bob Hays. “We greatly appreciate the public’s patience during these closures and are looking forward to ticking off another major milestone for the Project.”
