And one state lawmaker is pushing a measure he thinks will get people back to work. Senator George Borrello joined small business owners Friday at the Ellicottville Brewing Company in calling on Gov. Cuomo to withdraw New York from the $300 weekly additional unemployment benefit provided by the federal government. The money is on top of what the state already pays out. Ellicottville's owner says he has 180 employees right now, but needs another 32 to reach full staffing.
