Romano Di Franco May 14, 2021 | 3:26 PM The Senators saved their best effort offensively for their final game of the season with a thrilling 4-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Over Time. Through out the first period, the goalies were brilliant with Filip Gustavsson for Ottawa and Frederik Andersen for Toronto. This was Andersen’s first game since March 19th in a loss to the Calgary Flames. The Senators tallied their first goal of the game with 64 seconds left to go in the opening frame when Nikita Zaitsev fired a bullet past Andersen for his fourth of the season. Connor Brown scored his team leading 21st goal of the season and it was short-handed and Kelly Parker scored his first NHL goal.
