Seniors aged 60-and-up, school staff among many eligible to receive vaccines as part of Phase 2 by Lucas Casaletto Last Updated Mar 5, 2021 at 10:38 pm EDT An update on Ontario’s vaccination timeline has been released showing that a significant portion of long-term care residents is now immunized against the virus with details on who can expect a vaccine as part of Phase 2, including, but not limited to, secondary and elementary school staff. The plan will see shots administered based on risk factors including age, neighbourhood, existing health conditions and inability to work from home. The province says it’s effectively speeding up its vaccination process, showing that anyone above the age of 60 in COVID-19 hotspots will be able to be treated against COVID-19 by May into early June.
