Unfortunately, the piece only scratches the surface concerning how the pandemic may have enduringly altered sentencing practices and the pros and cons of greater reliance on home confinement with electronic monitoring. I still recommend this piece, but I hope future coverage will gather more data and dig even deeper into pandemic-era experiences on this important topic.
