Sex offender sent to prison for trying to meet ‘minor’ for sex in Roscommon Updated Dec 23, 2020; Facebook Share BAY CITY, MI — A Roscommon man who already had to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life is now heading to a federal prison for trying to solicit who he thought was an underage girl for sex. U.S. District Judge Thomas L. Ludington on Dec. 17 sentenced Joseph D. Grad, 45, to 200 months — or 16.6 years — in prison. Once Grad is released, he is to be supervised for an additional five years, Ludington ruled. Grad in September pleaded guilty to one count of attempted enticement of a minor. The charge is punishable by up to life in prison.
