(KELO.com) — Tuesday, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue will be conducting a joint operations search and rescue training in cooperation with the Sioux Falls Police Department, South Dakota Task Force 1, Iowa Task Force 1, members of the City of Sioux Falls Public Works team, and the Rapid City Fire Department. The search and rescue training will be a two-part exercise; the first exercise consisting of emergency response to a submerged vehicle within the river, and the second exercise consisting of nighttime search and rescue operations on the river with the use of night vision technology to evaluate different night vision options for emergency response.
