We have to question on the slide 5 the open audit and recommendations clearing throat if im reading this right do we have we have for the completed any 6 these um, r50e789sdz but have a target close date of next month . Yes. So um, actually are some improvement on those particular recommendations list as open remember this is a snapshot that up to this point in time as of 31st december activities have been for the that of january this month in february and closing out in march. That is the reasonable expectation theyll be closed out no march. Were hoping for more traction so, yes it is reasonable. Thank you. Can you give me an example of what contract improvements will look for puc should approve the contract management can you give me an example of what they use. For this report they focused on an improvement of programs and policies throughout the agency around contract management that are better tracking of changes to in any contracts we know there is a lot of the amendments in the contracts and sometimes can be better tracked um, i think we attached the report if im not mistaken and those areas that csa are provided in the report as well. I believe that was included if not we can make sure we get you the full report so you can see the specific works that csa outlined. And some thought we feel you unintelligible in a couple of weeks. Has been transaction that is a San Francisco Transportation Authority plans Programs Committee in time of december 31st last year and traction and i feel those march timelines are still reasonable. Some of the things were carry officers from other audits have been done before. It is stand alone audit from a stand alone audit we track those in the internal system and make sure there is no overlap between those two. Thank you. Any more questions of commissioners or comments and and do want to note in the meantime, all commissioners raise your hand im having trouble with the queue. Any other questions from commissioners . Okay. Thank you for your report we labored to every time you come up here for the part of our performanceing so thank you. Can we have i guess open up for Public Comment mr. General manager anything. We have to go to Public Comment first. Go to Public Comment. Any members of the public wish to provide comment on item 5 no callers in the queue. Okay. Thank you. Um, mr. General manager. Um, that thats my report. Thank you. Okay. 5 b is a report on activities anything else needs to be covered today . Seeing none, lets go to the consent calendar. A whole pile of stuff on consent calendar any things to discuss lets start. Thank you. I had a question on clearing throat 6 a the Wastewater Treatment and increased if contract contingency for the west side pump station on the Wastewater Treatment are we replacing it exactly with the same kind of Wastewater Treatment any upgrades . I think i see somebody to address that, please come. And identify yourself please. Good afternoon, commissioners my name is at t to the project manager the project and, yes there are going to be modernization we have details of that particular organization and usage for the last 5 years and introducing the capacity of their Wastewater Treatment. And it will use the same techniques. Use for Wastewater Treatment and on 6 i adding about money and time and to the west side pump station item i. I have a we also. Adding to the cost and contingency is that because were spent down some of the contingency money or you anticipating will occur more time and costs adding to the contingency now . Good afternoon commissioners president paulson im the senior manager for the project and um, expended approximately 975,000 of the existing contingency and expecting additional costs due to unforeseen things on the site over 50 construction complete a need additional time and funding for those unforeseen expected conditions that weve experienced to date and as we track the project to one hundred completion. When do you expect to spend down o contingencies . Conditions of the gm approval we expect to spend down the contingency and additional request we requested. Okay. Thank you. clearing throat . Commissioner stacy. Okay. Commissioner maxwell. Thank you um, item g and h and item weve it says um, o joe informed San Francisco puc was taken over by another firm what do we know about that firm and do we go through the same process, you know, and find out what they do with the o jim. Hello commissioners. Im Amanda Higgins with the security and so similar the commission awarded the contract to o technology and in december the food us theyve been acquired by conversion technologies and so thats the purpose of notice but able to evaluate the retailer and working on the security system. Thank you. Yep. And then um, on h6 h um, a little bit more information regarding the sole responsible bidder like no audio . Good afternoon commissioners my name is tracey project manager for the groundWater Project and the reason for only one bidder that is because some of the reasons that we got from the contractor phase one is close to the holidays and two, also there are other projects that they feel more like doing instead of this project and that is specialized and not many contractors have that much experience. Okay. And then the ones we had experience had other. Yes. Thats correct. I noticed during the bid opening date of the contractors 3 hundred the experience bid on another project and not this project. All right. And then so have we decided maybe mother to open up bidding during the holidays is that something maybe yes. Thats one good Lesson Learned in the future definitely will bid after the holidays. And have any of the contractors working for us already . One of the contractors that didnt bid after the award of one of the original local ground Water Projects so it is just a matter of choosing which project fits theyre also the priorities they have on their company. Is there any concern that because we only had one bidder that the price goes up and still competitive weve gotten the jerks estimate 6 million and the lowest bid the single bid is less than 7 million so weve building that the estimate for the proposal received in the bidder is prior at that time and no change orders will bring it up. We dont anticipate but because um, part the soak is absolutely excavating leaving the roads so we will never know if we have investigation and included in our there are salesmens activities you dont know theyre captured during the investigation those are the unforeseen conditions but the same thing will be change orders. Okay. Thank you. Commissioners. Commissioners any other questions regarding the consent calendar . Seeing none, open up for Public Comment members of the public present to provide comment on the consent calendar . Seeing none, we have no callers. So can we have a motion and second to approve the consent calendar. Mo. First and second roll call. President paulson, aye. Vice president rivera, aye. Commissioner maxwell, aye. Commissioner stacy. Essential what this big part was this consultant tame analyzing still in the process of root cause failure analysis for this equipment. Lets go to project; and authorize the general manager to take such actions deemed necessary or appropriate to implement or modify the mou. Mr. Richie steve richie this item go to a 340u between the rec and Park Department and the puc port of San Francisco zoo recycled Water Project. Okay. Um, the project will supply 200 thousand gallons to the San Francisco zoo for animal wash down and irrigation for the highway. The project will offset close to 100 percent groundwater use with the recycled water and use that water out of the ground Water Project and i will say 12 used by the zoo is, you know, one of the fewer views for the recycled water tripped were part of here. Well construct a pipeline for the highway and take over the groundwater infrastructure and which use for back up for the recycled water San Francisco rec and Park Department will continue to own and operate and maintain the reservoir and highway system. And just to make sure youre aware the zoo rec and Park Department that is why the pow is with the rec and Park Department. Um, we will reimburse the rec and Park Department for the expenses from and fund a staff position for the water recycled will be the biggest yours of the kr50irgd water in this to make sure that we stay connected with all the projects and well compensate them for the well and pipeline and then well charge the recycled water for the rec and Park Department as the cost is equal to the historic cost of groundwater and theyll be responsible to implement the great are highway. This the highway in the center lane for recycled water on the left will be the zoo area the solid purple line alongside that will be the existing pipeline we constructed for the recycled water and delivered up to Golden Gate Park and the dashed line there will be the recycled waterline to the pipeline and the purple areas on the map show where it will be used clearing throat excuse me and that green arrow on the left to the upper arrow where water will be taken up and actually and fairly syrup water for the recycled water so with that, we recommend the option for the anyhow and ill be happy to answer any questions you may have. Commissioner maxwell. Are those by any other name i want to mention the few zoo is in the country. I dont have an exact number we started to talk about that years ago and they were a lot of concerns about the recycled water with animals. That has be
