By Zito Jun 3, 2021 The purple flag so well known as a shark warning on Cape Cod has migrated north just as, apparently, sharks have. The warnings will now be posted on Maine beaches to let swimmers know a shark has been sighted. The flags will be in use at Mitchell Field, Mackerel Cove, Cedar Beach and at all Maine state beaches and coastal parks, the report said.
