The 4-acre plot is adjacent to Sharp’s two existing commercial pharmaceutical packaging buildings, which collectively form the organisation’s Blistering Centre of Excellence. The land purchase will enable Sharp to add future capacity for current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) packaging services and is part of a broader $43m investment at the site, which will increase the company’s blister packaging capacity by more than 35 per cent this year.
