Ian Parsard’s SHE’S A WONDER has sparkled at exercise, 1:28.3 for seven furlongs, out the mile chute, last Thursday, appearing ready to outpace her peers in Wednesday’s fillies-only Thornbird Stakes at seven furlongs after clocking a fast 59.3 for five furlongs round on her seasonal debut. Runner-up to the colt FURTHER AND BEYOND in December’s Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes at a mile, SHE’s A WONDER’s 59.3, beating imported LURE OF LUCY by four lengths on February 6, was an impressive performance on a track running heavy for most of this season. Unlike her rival from last year, Anthony Nunes’ HOIST THE MAST, who had finished ahead of her in three meetings before the Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes, SHE’S A WONDER has progressed as a three-year-old, giving her a good shot at June’s 1000 Guineas over a mile.
