Sheriff: Race led to fatal Route 332 crash in Canandaigua "Inexcusable." That was the one word Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson had to describe his thoughts around the four-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Route 332 and Airport Road in Canandaigua. According to official reports, the incident was first noticed by Ontario County Sheriff's Deputy Dana Egburtson, who recorded two vehicles speeding south. Egburtson pulled into traffic to stop the car, but readjusted once the lead car – a gray 2008 Ford Fusion – hit the rear of a tractor-trailer that was turning left. The second speeding car, a white 2014 Mercedes, then struck the rear of the Ford Fusion.
