Police were called to a Stanthorpe address on September 23 where the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was living with his partner and her 11-year-old son. The Stanthorpe Magistrates Court heard the house was a mess when officers arrived, with holes in several walls and furniture smashed to pieces. Police prosecutor Ken Wiggan said the man's partner told police he "woke up in a bad mood" which quickly escalated to a "tantrum", with him punching the walls and breaking several items.
