SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Following the winter storm — Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins is warning residents of price gouging.
The act of price gouging is prohibited during a disaster by Louisiana law, according to a news release from the mayor’s office. Once a state of emergency is declared by either the government or parish — a price-gouging ban is placed on the area.
