The Fijians, coached by former Fiji Bati skipper Wes Naiqama, proved that his side would not be a walkover in the NSW rugby league competition after beating Mascot Jets 46-16 in their 2021 pre-season match. The Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL) side captured the imagination of the crowd with the massive win as a warm-up to the competition.
