Sinkhole repaired but section of East Locust still to be closed for weeks

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Davenport Public Works says the sinkhole on East Locust street are repaired, but they still need to work on additional gas, water, and sewer line issues. The repairs will not be completed until the end of July.
The Facebook post also asks for your patience as repairs continue.
On Saturday, June 26, the police department shut down East Locust between Woodland and Kenwood due to the sinkhole that could be seen in the road. Sewer and traffic crews were then called to the area and as soon as traffic control was established, crews began exploring the issue.
