Sioux Falls auto part dealer sells to Minnesota-based company

Sioux Falls-based Sturdevant's Auto Parts has sold to an auto parts business in Minnesota, according to a news release.

The business is Automotive Parts Headquarters, Inc. As part of the deal, the 49 Sturdevant's corporate stores will be re-branded as Sturdevant's Auto Value and the 45 independent stores will transition to the Auto Value brand.
Sturdevant's has been in business since 1922, beginning in Wahpeton, North Dakota and Pipestone, Minnesota, eventually expanding to headquarter in Sioux Falls.
"We have known the Bartlett family for many years — the Sturdevant family and Bartlett family have great respect for each other," said Tim Sturdevant, president of Sturdevant's Auto Parts, in the news release. "As I thought about our company's future, I knew APH would be a great fit to continue our family culture and growth."
