Sixth-grade student raises money for K-9 unit by selling candy

'Genius Hour' at Leonard Lawrence Elementary in Bellevue gives sixth-grade students the chance to work on a project, or do something they really care about. "I just like K-9 police dogs because I feel like they're smart and I just think that I admire what their job is," Parker Makousky told KETV Newswatch 7 Thursday. "Even seeing a police car driving by, I always just think that might be me one day."
