SL ranked 69th in National Cyber Security Index Daily News (via HT Media Ltd.) Sri Lanka has advanced in the National Cyber Security Index from 98th place in 2020 to 69th place in 2021, the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) said. The National Cyber Security Index (NCSI) is a global index which measures the preparedness of countries to prevent cyber threats and manage cyber incidents. Sri Lanka has secured the 69th place this year out of 160 countries. This is an improvement of 29 positions compared to last year. “Accordingly, Sri Lanka has developed its capacity in Cyber security policy development, Education and professional development, fight against cybercrime and Military cyber operations capacities,” the SLCERT said.
