SLYBT to Host Training Event

THE St. Lucia Youth Business Trust (SLYBT), Thursday, hosted a training session on Financial Literacy as part of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture’s Small Member Support Program (SMSP). The SMSP was developed to build the capacity of MSMEs by providing Information, Skills and Knowledge, Tools and Support Services.
Another such training opportunity under this umbrella, this time in the area of Financial Planning and Budgeting for Small Businesses, will be held next week.
Financial Planning and Budgeting for Small Businesses will be aimed at assisting persons in understanding how they can ascertain insight regarding the general financial status and proficiency of their operations. Highlighted will be the need to go beyond the traditional business concepts to ensure survival and prosperity, especially in the current ever-changing and hyper-competitive global marketplace. Additionally, participants will be taught to appreciate the new dynamics and inter-relationship of forecasting, budgeting and business performance which collectively aid in determining their organization’s future success or failure.
