Get our free mobile app In the small town of Berne, Minnesota, which is just 30 minutes from Rochester, there's a really popular pizza spot called Berne Wood-Fired Pizza, but you wouldn't expect it. That's because this delicious, wood-fired pizza is served through the church in town, called Zwingli United Church of Christ. Berne Wood-Fired Pizza is a fundraiser for the church, so all of the workers are volunteers. And I hear this place gets really popular when they're open so those volunteers put in a lot of work! Let's talk more about the delicious pizza. As I mentioned, they're wood-fired pizzas and there are all different kinds from veggie to meat lovers to cheese (plus plenty of other specialty pizzas in between, you can see the full menu HERE). All pizzas are $23 except the cheese, which is $18 and they do not have gluten-free crusts, so keep that in mind.
