Company has begun test piling work at KR Puram Engineers from Shankaranarayana Constructions ( SNC) began test piling work at KR Puram to construct the 9.8-km elevated Metro corridor on the Outer Ring Road, on Sunday. The company -- which bagged its first Metro project from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd ( BMRCL) about six months ago -- has been quick to start the ground work. Sources said test piling will be taken up in about 5-6 places along the corridor before full-fledged work is taken up . The 9.8-km stretch, comprising of six Metro stations between Kodibeesanahalli and KR Puram, is part of 14-km Phase II-A project awarded to Bengaluru-based SNC for Rs 623.55 crore.
