SNOW HILL, Md. — The town of Snow Hill will have a new face on its town council after Tuesday's municipal election saw residents elect a new mayor. Snow Hill resident Jennifer Jewell will become the town's third mayor in two years, successfully winning the position after she ran unopposed. Tammy Simpson, who's served as interim mayor since last August, didn't file for election in March. Simpson was chosen by the town council in July to become interim mayor after former mayor Gary Weber stepped down to become the Snow Hill's new town manager. Part of Jewell's platform for mayor centered around Weber and the actions that led up to him becoming town manager last summer.
