Remember high school art class, working at tables with your friends, sharing paint and palettes? How about those long stretches of focused silence occasionally broken with random laughter, or the instructor insisting it’s clean up time? This year, because of COVID-19, Bluffton High School students have had had far fewer of these moments, but they’ve continued making art. Some of that art will carry forward long after they graduate. “The Art Of Bluffton High School” is on display at the Society of Bluffton Artists from Tuesday through April 3. The show highlights student paintings, drawings, and photography as well as two large murals on the gallery’s exterior walls.
