When storms caused the closure of several snowmobile trails in Alcona County earlier this month, the cleanup was expected to take at least two weeks. Good news for area snowmobilers, though – the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Huron-Manistee National Forests and the Alcona County Parks and Recreation Department have re-opened the state-designated snowmobile trails one week ahead of schedule.
