Son charged in New Sewickley Twp. man's death NEW SEWICKLEY TWP. — A 57-year-old Massachusetts man is accused of strangling his 83-year-old father to death in Beaver County. Michael Miklaucic is charged with criminal homicide after police said he confessed to killing his father, John Miklaucic, in the elder man’s New Sewickley Township home Tuesday morning. Police Chief Ronald Leindecker said John Miklaucic recently lost a substantial amount of money in a Publishers Clearing House-like scam, and Michael Miklaucic had driven from Plymouth, Mass., to help his father repair the damage. The scam was reported to police days earlier, but, around 8 a.m. Tuesday, police said Michael Miklaucic called 911 and told dispatchers he strangled his father. Officers arrested the man at a Fezell Road home and found his father dead inside.
