South Australia fires: Residents in danger as blaze spreads

A bushfire burning at Cherry Gardens, in the Adelaide Hills, has now been contained.
South Australia Police said the threat from the fire has reduced at Hicks Hill Road near Longwood, Mylor, Biggs Flat, Scotts Creek, Chapel Hill, Cherry Gardens and Mount Bold in the Mount Lofty Ranges.
However, warned people to take care in the area.
"Smoke will reduce visibility on the roads and there is a risk of trees and branches falling," SA Police said in a statement.

A woman who stayed to defend her family's home against the bushfire in has spoken about the terrifying experience.
