A BURST water pipe has been causing disruption for drivers and households in Southend. Drivers travelling in Lifstan Way, between Woodgrange Drive and Southchurch Road, are being told to avoid the area due to a burst watermain. Residents living in the area were also experiencing issues of low water pressure. Engineers from Essex and Suffolk Water are at the scene - under the railway bridge - trying to mitigate the flooding. A spokesman for Essex and Suffolk Water said they are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. They said: "We are onsite and working to resolve a burst on a water main.
