Southington-based organization starts donation drive for youths in transitional housing, halfway houses

SOUTHINGTON — A new donation initiative from Lisa Inc. and Community Solutions Inc. seeks to have local residents and businesses contribute basic living supplies for the residents of their youth and halfway houses.
“This really allows for them to have a larger assortment of basic needs and what to them are almost luxury items, a brand new towel, their own hairbrush,” said Lisa Inc. Director of Communications Elizabeth Hyatt. “Many things for the kids and even some of the adults, everything was a hand-me-down or used. So it really boosts our ability to provide all these products to the clients.”
