ROCK SPRINGS — The Rock Springs City Council is scheduled to review a resolution authorizing the repayment of $1 million borrowed from Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport which was used to complete the construction of the Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport’s snow removal equipment building.
During the Council meeting Tuesday at 7 pm at city hall, the Council will review the transfer of $1 million from the Southwest Wyoming’s Regional Airport’s to Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport.
According to the resolution, in 2020 the City of Rock Springs and Sweetwater County borrowed $1 million from the Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport and $1 million from the Riverton Regional Airport to construct a snow removal equipment building at the airport. This will be a partial repayment of the funds loaned for the project.
