Sparks man gets 11-year prison term for several crimes May 15, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Sparks man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for a series of crimes over a year period that ended with his arrest last year after trying to flee from police for a second time. The Washoe County District Attorney's Office announced late Friday that 30-year-old Adam Matthew Moore must serve at least four years for drug possession, weapons offenses and fleeing from officers. Moore pleaded guilty for three crimes that spanned a period from September 2019 to September 2020. In the first case, detectives with a regional narcotics unit arrested Moore for drug trafficking and being a felon in possession of a firearm in September 2019. While out on bail in that case, Sparks police tried to conduct a traffic stop in December 2019 and he fled at a high rate of speed. The vehicle he was driving was eventually located and Moore identified as the driver. He was not located but charges were filed.
