A SPECIAL park run event will be held next month to thank those who have helped others during the pandemic. After the usual Saturday morning runs at Lydiard Park and Seven Fields in Penhill finish, there will be a thank-you brunch and picnic to which runners can invite friends, family, volunteers and anyone else they want to thank. The event will focus on park run organisers for helping to keep the community together as well as the landowners and staff who kept parks and open spaces available during the last 18 months. Swindon's park runs will be one of more than 500 happening across the country on Saturday July 3 to tie in with National Thank You Day.
