Snow in late April after a rather warm start to the month created quite the juxtaposition of spring and winter, as captured by several News Channel 3 viewers.
Meteorologist Christina Anthony was on a walk Tuesday, April 20, 2021, as light snow was coming down in Portage, creating an interesting sight with a spider web.
Conditions have to be just right for this sight to occur. Snow has to be very light, and the wind can't be too strong to tear the webs apart.
"Snow on a web, not what they signed up for," said Mark VanderWerp, an entomologist with Rose Pest Solutions. "They did not put the web up there so they could catch some snow in it."
