Times staff report COLLEGEVILLE — St. John's University has announced the hiring of a new transitional president who will lead the university as it works to integrate its leadership with the College of St. Benedict, according to a release from the Board of Trustees Thursday. James Mullen Jr. will officially begin as president June 1, according to the release. He will replace two-year interim president Eugene McAllister, and is expected to serve through June 30, 2022. The Boards of Trustees at SJU and CSB expect to begin a search this fall for a joint president who would lead both institutions, according to the release.
