Edmond police officers are searching for a suspect following an 8-hour standoff that ended without an arrest. Officers responded to a home Monday morning near West 15th Street and North Santa Fe Avenue after a woman claimed she was assaulted. "Walked outside and just saw everything and I was like, ‘Wow, didn't ever think it'd happen in our neighborhood,’" neighbor Jaycee Davis said. According to investigators, the standoff began when police got a call from someone stating her neighbor told her that she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. "She was sent to the emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries," Edmond Police Department public information specialist Emily Ward said.
