(Trenton) – A Milbridge man is jailed and his wife will likely face charges after she gets out of the hospital following a shooting incident in Trenton Sunday night.  The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department charged 50-year old Larry Smith with attempted murder and robbery after his hospital release yesterday.  According to a police affidavit, Smith shot a bedridden man in the leg and another man in the back and his wife Sherry stabbed a third man at a home in Trenton on Sunday night.  The two were allegedly looking for safes containing thousands of dollars in cash.  Police caught them in Holden after they crashed their car and one of the safes was inside the vehicle.
