Interstates 39, 55, 70, 74, 80, 90 and 94 have been selected by the Federal Highway Administration as part of the 145,000 miles nationwide designated for promotion of alternative fuels, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation. Gov. J.B. Pritzker said he is committed to having 750,000 electric vehicles on the road by 2030. In the coming weeks, blue Alternative Fuels Corridor signs will start going up. — Darren Iozia
