Cory Morse | MLive.com Facebook Share GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A proposed $15.6 million expansion by Pine Rest Christian Mental Services that would add 60 adult in-patient psychiatric beds at its Gaines Township headquarters has received an initial denial by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Pine Rest was one of two healthcare organizations competing to fill an unmet need of 60 psychiatric beds in Allegan, Ionia, Kent, Lake, Mason, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana and Ottawa counties.
