State Collection Service helped support local families in need. 1/22/2021 8:00 AM News State Collection Service Inc., an ACA International member company based in Madison, Wisconsin, continued its holiday tradition of Adopt-a-Family by donating $8,800 to provide gifts and other holiday trimmings to local families. With most team members currently working remotely, State hosted an online fundraiser. The generosity of State’s team members was matched by the company to enable donations to be made to House of Mercy in Beloit, Wisconsin., DAIS in Madison, Wisconsin, Hope House in Milwaukee, and St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Geneva, Illinois. “COVID-19 has created a pandemic on top of what was already an epidemic for the homeless,” Tammie King-Johnson from House of Mercy said in a news release. “(The) State Collection Service funds (supported) the homeless in two ways this holiday season. First to purchase Christmas gifts for our Holiday Adopt-a-Family program and secondly to provide emergency motel vouchers for two families with small children who were living in their cars.”
