Cameron Mitchell posted on the school’s Facebook Page saying a Tauranga Intermediate student was involved in an accident after school near the Fraser Street gate.
“Their Whanau have been informed and are with their child at hospital. Our thoughts are with all concerned.”
A St John spokesperson says they were notified of the incident at 3.08pm and one ambulance responded.
A person in a critical condition has been transported to Tauranga Hospital, she says.
Police have advised the northbound lane of Fraser Street reopened at 5.30pm, after being closed between Eighteenth Ave and Brook Street.
EARLIER 3.50pm: A person is in a critical condition after a crash between a car and a pedestrian on Fraser Street.
