Thursday night presented a barnburner at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum when the Indy Fuel faced off against their dreaded rival Fort Wayne Komets. The Fuel fought hard all night but let in a goal in the final stages to lose 2-1 in a close one. The Fuel had lost four of their last five games coming into the contest and had been lacking on defense due to injuries and farm system call-ups to the AHL. This week, they made a bold move in trading their veteran captain David Broll to Greenville and acquired two solid defensemen to shore up their backline. The Komets have soared as of late orbiting out of this galaxy winning four games in a row and seven of their first 11. It was all-you-can-eat night at the hockey barn, and the hot dogs and burgers were gone by the first period, but the Fuel was still hungry to get off the weight of a two-game losing streak.
