Suspended learner driver allegedly clocks 200km/h on Melbourne highway A suspended learner driver allegedly clocked speeds of up to 200km/h while driving down a Melbourne highway early this morning. Police Airwing officers detected the blue Subaru WRX sedan allegedly speeding along the Melton Highway citybound about 1.30am. The 18-year-old driver, from Melton South, failed to stop when officers attempted to intercept him. READ MORE: The Airwing directed police to an Exford Road address and arrested the man. "Police identified the man as a suspended learner driver," Leading Senior Constable Natalie Dean said. The man's car has been impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1006 and he has been charged with conduct endangering life and numerous traffic offences.
